About My Family
My name is Brannigan McBride. My husband Hunter and I have been married for eight years and we live in North Alabama with our five children, ages six and under. My husband is a Pastor and a small business owner, while I am a full time homemaker and homeschooling mama to our kids. My husband and I also travel singing gospel music at churches across the Southeast and I have been blessed to write some of the songs that we sing. Our days and our hearts are very full and we humbly thank God for all the opportunities we get to glorify Him, whether through preaching and singing or in our day to day roles and responsibilities.
About From One Beggar To Another
So, why did I start this blog and podcast?
Well, it starts on October 11, 2019 when I was born again through God’s amazing grace! It was and always will be the greatest day of my life. If you’ve been saved then you know that with your salvation comes a desire to love and serve the Lord in any way you can. I was no exception, I wanted to do whatever I could for Him.
At that time, I was a young mother to two babies under two years old and life was busy as you can imagine. I found that I wasn’t able to do as much for the Lord as my heart desired. So, I have spent the last five years growing as a wife, mother and daughter of God. I’ve learned so many lessons through my Father’s grace and patience, and now, although we’ve added three more children to our family over these last five years, I’ve gotten to a place where I feel I have the margin and capacity to reach outside of our home and into the hearts and lives of others.
I began to pray for guidance as to what God would have me to do and He brought one of my favorite songs to my remembrance. The lyrics begin, “Let this beggar tell another where I found bread.” I knew in that moment what I needed to do. I am simply a beggar, a great sinner in need of a great Savior. My goal with this blog and podcast is to tell other beggars (that’s YOU!) where I found bread. He is the Bread of Life and I have found everything I will ever need in Him and Him alone.
About My Goals
My goal with the From One Beggar To Another podcast is to continue sharing the lessons that I learn from my Father. He is gracious enough to tenderly and patiently teach me and help me grow more like Him. I want to share those lessons with you in hopes that we can grow together into better wives, mothers, daughters, sisters, friends and women of God.
As for the future of this blog, I hope to begin providing Bible studies, Scripture printables and other valuable content to you that goes a little further than just the podcast. I am always seeking guidance from God and I’m excited to see where He allows this to go and who He allows this to impact.
